Answer: One way that Xu's argument was influenced was by the moral nature of the women in that era.

Explanation:

The women were modest, reserved, and always honest. In addition, they were always meek, loving, warm, humane, and gentle in their marriages and to others. Xu stated that these things were innate in our endowment. He believed that through transformation and being fulfilled was through this practice.

He also stated that if these traits were not cultivated in ones self that the virtue would not be established.
