    In P. B Shelley's Ode to the West Wind, the poet through the description as "Destroyer and preserver" honors the prowess of the wind. As it contributes to the regeneration of spring it also drives away autumn. Imaginative powers of the poet himself is connected through "Wild spirit."

    As in stanza IV and V Shelley muses,

    If I were a dead leaf thou mightest bear;

    if I were a swift cloud to fly with thee;

    A wave to pant beneath thy power and share ...

    ... and could be

    The comrade of thy wanderings over Heaven,

    Like the west wind regenerate the spring, poet wonders if it can inspire and regenerate its works too. Like a "Leaf" on the wind by sending his verses over the universe to "Quicken a new birth." In Uniting man with nature is the highlighted theme in the last two stanzas that like west wind can regenerate the spring it can assist Shelley in the lifelong process of creating an impact upon life through his works.

    Therefore, choice which best approximated with the theme of the final section of "ode to the West Wind" is b. The poet wishes his verse could empower and enliven all people with the potency carried by the West Wind.
