Students will copy and paste a paragraph or a sentence sometimes even the whole thing and just put there name on it so that is plagiarism

Plagiarism is often seen in online education when a student copies online materials and submits them without giving credit.

Plagiarism is the practice of taking someone else's work and claiming it as their own.

In online education, when sources are not cited, it is assumed that you are claiming the work as your own. So, when a student doesn't give credit, that student is claiming the material as their own; this is seen as plagiarism.
