    1. Chargaffs Rule, after Austrian chemist Erwin Chargaff states that there should be an equal ration 1:1 of pyrimidine and puridine bases. This means that for each base of adenine, there should be an equal amount of thymine and for each of guanine, there should be an equal amount of cytosine.

    2. Transcription is the process by which our cells are able to express genes through DNA copying. However, since we have only an immovable strand of DNA, we need a way to be able to use the information in these strands without having to change them or shorten them. This is what RNA is meant to be, a copy of the original blueprint that will then become the framework for the new proteins that will be transcribed and produced for our cells to be able to function properly.

    3. There are several types of DNA mutations that will result in diseases and misfunctioning of our organism. However, we will mention three of them: missense mutation, nonsense mutation and Insertion. In the two first there is a change in the DNA pairing that will affect the way a protein is coded and its functionality whereas in the third case, there are insertions, literally, of new DNA bases that will affect entirely the way that correct transcription and protein generation happens.
