In, "On how my mother sleeps", how does the structure of the poem contribute to the relationship between the speaker and her mother?

The structure of the poem clearly describes the bond of love between speaker and her mother. The way she misses her and her littler chats with the speaker when she was a child. As time goes by the narrator grew up and their chats their laughs are no more, but she always misses every bit of her. And the speaker hope someone will hold her the way her mother holds her during sleep and love her passionate.
