So today in my honors class in English my teacher asked what does it mean if someone were to tell you "You're so distinguishing" does anyone know?

    I'd say it means that the person who recieved the comment, is different. That person might be a good student or a impressive writer for example.

    In general "distinghuishing" is something that makes a person distinct and~different from others, usually in a positive way.
