How does globalization affect culture?

It can be positive for some cultures as it allows self representation and information sharing on a whole new level, there are a number of negative impacts on culture, including the influence multinational corporations have on promoting a consumer culture, exploitation of workers and markets, this promotes a homogeneeous set of values and beielfs. Another reason is because they can drown out local influences.
