How does Othellos appearance and mannerism, way of speaking and race affect his power and authority within the Venetian society? Within the military? Within Desdemona and Emilia?

    Othello in the novel was very handsome and well spoken. But he was a moor so he was treated differently than other lieutenants in the military. Not only that but Desdemona's father does not like him because he is a moor.
