The mood of the story is full of fear, frightened and hassled because the boy has got late to the school.

    Explanation:

The Last class is the story about an Alsatian boy who is ready to take his last French lesson. Hence the name of the lesson is the last lesson. It is the story about that boy only and his experiences on his way to the school.

The mood of the story describes how hassled he is because he had got late to school and had to run on his way to the school, with his face red, frightened and scared.
