    If I receive my bank statement and it doesn't match with my own records, the next steps I will take to find a solution to this situation are:

    Check my records first to see if the mistake if mine. This is the most reasonable thing to do first because maybe I made a mistake with some numbers and in order for me to be completely sure that my records are correct and the bank statement isn't. Call the bank after making sure my records are correct. After doing the first step and knowing that my records are correct, I will call the bank to ask for a detailed explanation and a solution.
