Why does Odysseus provoke Antinous to behave badly?

    Antinous treats Odysseus extremely disrespectfully, and Odysseus provokes him further because he needs a reason to retaliate violently and defend his honor ... They mistreated a guest, stole his items, and offended his honor, but the last of this list is what Odysseus cares the most about.
