Summary of the hound of baskerville summary chapter 1-3

Chapter 1 summary: The Hound of the Baskervilles Chapter 1 Summary. Mr. Sherlock Holmes. An unknown visitor has come by the house that Sherlock Holmes and John Watson share, but they weren't home to meet him.

Chapter 2 summary: The Curse of the Baskervilles. Dr. Mortimer hands a manuscript to Holmes. It's old-it dates back to 1742, at least a hundred fifty years before the events of Hound of the Baskervilles. Dr. Mortimer got the manuscript from his friend, Sir Charles Baskerville.

Chapter 3 summary: The Problem. Holmes, excited by such a mysterious case, asks for more details. As it turns out, the paw prints indicated that the dog had not approached the body. High hedges and two locked gates bordered the Yew Alley.
