A haiku is a type of traditional Japanese poetry. It's usually a total of 17 syllables, and involves linking or blending two ideas ... It's purpose is, in my opinion, to offer a poetic form of enlightenment (usually by linking two ideas [traditionally about seasons] together) in very few words. With haikus, less is more.
