How would you expect African-American riders to feel in response to the way they were treated on buses

    I would expect that African-Americans were very hurt when they were treated so poorly on buses. They must have felt misunderstood and low. They knew that they were equal; but almost everyone else did not. African-Americans felt terrible about how they were treated.
