What does it mean to analyze and interpret

"Analyze" means to mentally examine or to intellectually explore. "Interpret" means to explain or to make something clear to someone who does not understand. A responsible person analyzes before he or she interprets. You intellectually explore, for example, a passage of Scripture before you try to interpret or explain it to someone else.

Analysis and Interpretation. The process by which sense and meaning are made of the data gathered in qualitative research, and by which the emergent knowledge is applied to clients' problems. This data often takes the form of records of group discussions and interviews, but is not limited to this.
