Which of the following sentences would create the most suspense?

She stood still and looked around at the messy room. It was organized when she left - who did this? Why is that door open?

She took a deep breath and sighed. The house was a mess and she was the one who always wound up deaning it

Lynette walked into the house and stopped. Why was the floor covered in water? She looked up and see the faucet running

    She stood still and looked around at the messy room. It was organized when she left - who did this? Why is that door open?

    Explanation:

    The second answer is too bland and tasteless to really give you that suspense the 1st one does. The third one is good but it still doesn't have the ... urgency that the 1st one does because you immediately know "Oh the ground is wet because of the faucet." But with the first one you have know idea what is going on. No answers cause more suspense.
