A monologue is the play itself, without taking care if it is a drama, a poem, a novel, etc. in which just one character speaks. On the other hand, a soliloquy is more like a monologue just in theatre, it refers to the speech that a character develops while talking to himself and says his deepest feelings and thoughts out loud
