The treasures with which Tutankhamun was buried were seen as necessary to his existence in the afterlife. What do these objects suggest about ancient Egyptians' views of both earthly life and the afterlife? Explain.

    king "tut" was buried with 36 jars of wine, fruit, and clothing, to look & travel his best while traveling to the afterlife.

    Earthly life, these are objects in which he enjoyed in life, so were needed in the afterlife.

    The afterlife, 4 Egyptians, means (in their minds), needed essential items to overcome (enemies that try to block his passage) to the afterlife.

    I believe the Egyptians thought he would need the jewelry to pay 4 his passage through.

    This was their religion, way of life, offering the gods items that wud appease them ...
