1 Reread this line.

They come to a ranch an' work up a stake and then they go inta town and blow their stake, and the first

thing you know they're poundin' their tail on some other ranch.

Who are they? What is George saying about them here?

    d because pounding their tail is working hard but the still have to work at another ranch to work for more money
