Odysseus must seek wisdom from the spirit of Teiresias in the Land of the Dead.

    Explanation:

In "The Odyssey," Odysseus was advised by goddess Circe to take advice from the spirit of Teiresias. He followed her advice despite his men's objections, met with other spirits first and then received specific advice and warnings from Teiresias. Teiresias tells about the perils awaiting his men who will not make it home. He also predicts that Odysseus will go home, despite all obstacles but although he will be required to reclaim his wife and kill her suitors. He will also have to appease Poseidon and the heavens so that he can "ebb away very gently."
