    They wanted to have their own day in things and thought that the government would be too controlling.

    Americans are so against the strong national government because they now that it will soon pressure them. In America's past and even right now, the government has done bad things without letting the public know. If they knew, there would be a riot of people protesting for whatever they did. Americans would want laws to be changed and what they want for more independence. They want to break free from a strong government in order to get what they came for.
