How is segregation showed in to kill a mockingbird

Segregation is shown in To Kill A Mockingbird during the trial of Tom Robinson. All of the black people had to watch the trial from the balcony while the white people were able to watch down below. There is also instances of segregation in the churches when it was shocking when Gem and Scout went to the 'black church'.

segregation is all throughout the novel. for example, in the trial. they put the blacks on the balconies and whites on the floor. the blacks churches are all torn down and only have one book. most of them don't know how to read. People make fun of Scout because of her father defending a black man. Blacks work for less pay and such.
