Why does Gatsby seem so flustered?

A. He's kind of mad at Nick for turning down the business deal. It hurt his pride.

B. He knows Daisy is married and won't leave him for Tom

C. He probably just got off the phone, talking to someone who gave him upsetting news about business deal gone wrong

D. He wants very much for Daisy to be impressed with him when he "drops in"

    Which part of the book/passage is this referring to? There are a few possibilities depending on what part of the book it is. Without any context I would say D though because Gatsby gets flustered by Daisy very easily and he believes that Daisy will leave Tom for him if he impresses her.
