CCS is a technological technique for capturing CO2 from wastes and storing them underground. The storage of CO2 underground can result in high pressure that forces other component of the underground bed to rise up towards the surface. This has resulted in contamination of groundwater by brime and other salts. Also, leakage of CO2 during transportation through pipes has been deadly to some wildlife and other consequences of CCS remains unknown.
