This was an irony that became undisputed to those already in the army and deemed by many others as an unreasonable solution, as the phrase solders for a crown was a context reference used by common people in their outrage in hearing how army's found solution to reduction in soldiers, the term crown was reference to money was paid to all soldiers. The question was would it be unreasonable to pay in advance to use and exploit enslaved men.
