In the book, 'Things Fall Apart', by Chinua Achebe, an evening arrives in the house of Okonkwo where the family relax outside the hut, telling stories. The priestess, Chielo arrives the hut telling Okonkwo that the Agbala or the god of the land wants to see his daughter, Ezinma that evening. All pleas by Okonkwo for Agbala to wait till the next morning fell on deaf ears. Ekwefi who was Ezinma's mother was listening to this. So while the Priestess and her daughter leave that night, she followed them closely through the bush path endeavoring not to be seen.
