In the Declaration of Independence, Jefferson states that King Arthur is an unfit ruler when he says "The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations". Then he lists all the facts that prove this, like dissolving the Representative House, Obstructing the administration of justice, Keeping standing armies in times of peace, and so on. He has proven to be a tyrant, and so an unfit ruler for a free people.
