Now that you are more familiar with using a dictionary and a thesaurus, you will have an opportunity to practice using them. Read any news story that came out this past week. You can read a hard copy newspaper or read a story online from a reputable news source. Find something that is interesting to you! Look for three words that you do not know the meaning of, and make a list of those words. Then, look up those meanings in the dictionary. Copy down the part of speech and all the definitions provided. Then, using a thesaurus, find two synonyms and two antonyms for each of those words. In the space below, copy all of your work.
