In Blocking the Transmission of Violence, by Alex Kotlowitz, the list of incidents discussed at the ceasefire meeting illustrate the poor conditions in which some of the most dangerous people involved were raised or how difficult their lives are because of economic issues, the violence in their own homes, the lack of proper education, and substance abuse.

Violence is a consequence of social issues that have to be taken care of by the states govern. It is usually related with differences in social status and growing possibilities. As long as all this social issues exists, violence is always going to be a problem.
