    b. "Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight"

    Explanation:

"Broad stripes and bright stars" shows how the soldiers were proud and brave. Especially the last two words, "perilous fight." Perilous means full of risk and danger. The soldiers were in a very risky and dangerous fight, but they were proud of their country and fought bravely.
