How come when there are two children {girl and boy} the father cares for the boy more than the girl.

It could have something to do with the fact that they are the same gender. I believe that the same gender appeal to one another because they act the same and have more acceptance because they so, happen to be the same gender going through the same action of toughness to the struggles of racism and the feeling of being to weak sometimes.

It has to do with gender. The father feels the son is a mini version of him so he would rather teach him stuff that he never got to learn stuff like that.
