In this exercise you have to give your opinion about the relationship between Pony and Darry. So in my opinion, they are very similar and they are not aware of that. Darry loves Pony so he has some hopes for him.

In chapter 7, there is another boy called Randy who shares similar perspectives with Pony. However, they are not friends because they have some different opinions.

With Johnny in bad shape Darry is softer to pony.

After Pony ran away Darry is kinder to Pony.
