The answer is: D how does God expect him to work when he is blind.

At the beginning of "Sonnet XIX," the poet John Milton mentions that he has probably spent his savings. As a consequence, in line 7 he wonders whether God requires him to work now that he has lost his sight. He wishes to continue writing but because he has become completely blind he feels that he cannot do it.
