Then I waited. It was about the time that Henk would come for lunch. After a very short time I heard the familiar sound of Henk's footsteps on the stairs. Before he could come inside, I jumped up, ran to the door, opened it, grabbed him by the arm, and said, "Henk, it's wrong here." I shoved everything into his hands and gave him a little push. Henk understood me immediately and disappeared. My breath caught in my chest, I went back to my desk, where the man with the gun had told me to stay. How does Miep build suspense in this passage?

by describing her thoughts in detail

by retelling the events of a dangerous situation

by quoting her exact words to Henk

by revealing her emotional connection to her husband
