The Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) published research

showing that the three wealthiest Americans have more

money than half of the American population.

The IPS stated that the poor are poor because the rich are

rich. The IPS implied that the way to make the poor less

poor is to make the rich less rich through government

policies. They advocate higher taxes on the wealthy. The

taxes would then be invested by government bureaucrats,

who have always failed at creating meaningful wealth.
