In the play "The Necklace" why dont the Loisels tell Madame Foretuer right away when they find out the necklace is lost?

A) they don't know her well enough

B) she is out of the country

C) they are worried she will accuse them of stealing it

D) they are too proud and feel replacing it is the right thing do
