It's important to take risks in life.

    Explanation:

In both poems, the author's believe it is important to take risks in life. If you take the road taken by many, or your make the safe decision when you are at a "crossroad", you will not make gains in life. You will simply be following everyone else. And where does that get you? Both poems are trying to get you to understand that.
