Why is john Proctor be considered moral/ethical person?

    At the beginning, he is really immoral, since he has had an affair with Abigail, a heinous violation of what is right.

    However, his behavior changes. He never considers an affair again; instead, he goes an extra mile to save Elizabeth, who is convicted of the witchcraft.
