A stanza with four lines would be a quatrain. A fun way to remember this is to think of four quarters. Both the words "quarters" and "quatrain" have the same sound at the beginning of the words. So when you hear that word, just think of 4 quarters equal 4 lines in the stanza.

Now when thinking of an octave, a fun way to remember this is to think of an octopus. An octopus has eight tentacles, and an octave has eight lines in the stanza. So, this is a fun way to remember to that an octave has eight lines in a stanza.

Here's another tip when thinking of a couplet. Now, it takes two people to be in a relationship, otherwise known as a couple. In a way, the same thing goes for a couplet. It takes two to be a couple, and it takes two lines in a stanza to be a couplet.

This leaves one last tile and pair, to be a sestet, which is a stanza with six lines.

    Stanza with four lines

    Quatrain

    Stanza with eight lines

    Octave

    Stanza with two lines

    Couplet

    Stanza with six lines

    Sestet
