Which theme do the tragic deaths of Haemon and Eurydice reveal? Disrespect toward the king results in punishment. The ultimate authority belongs to the gods. Mothers love their children. Women are weaker than men.

    The ultimate authority belongs to the gods.

    Haemon was Eurydice's son, the last two reasons would make sense for Eurydice's death but not for Haemon. As well, ultimately the deaths punished the King, so the first reason doesn't make sense either. Ultimately their deaths prove that seeking to defy the gods will only punish you, as their deaths punished King Creon.
