What clue from the novel indicates that there was a lack of communication between mr. antolini and his wife?

    In Catcher in the Rye, Holden visits Mr. Antolini and his wife. There are two things that might suggest the two have a lack of communication. They are : 1. Holden tells us the wife is a LOT older than her husband and 2. The two people do not hang out in the same room.

    There is also Holden's feelings that Mr. Antolini may be hitting on him. I don't think that speaks to communication issues between he and his wife, but maybe?
