The corporate media is in business to turn a profit, so how do broadcast networks make their money when programs themselves are free?

    The companies that have ads that appear on the broadcast network pay that network more than millions of dollars for one advertisment. Additionally, the more viewers that they recieve causes them to earn much more money.
