A proper noun is capitalized, where a common noun is not. A common noun is any genetic uncapitalized noun like: ball, tree, moon. Notice those were all single. Here are plural examples of common: balls, trees, moons. A common noun is only capitalized in the beginning of a sentence. Proper nouns is the same like common nouns but is capitalized wether its in the beginning of a sentence or not. Proper nouns are days of the week, month, year, towns, cities, streets, states, countries, and brands.
