Is 57 a prime number or is 56 a prime number?

    I think 57 is a prime number because so you can only multiply 57*1. But 56 is not prime number because you can multiply 14*4 and get 56.

    57 can't be divided by anything other than itself and one. Therefore it's a prime number. 56 is not a prime number, it's a composite number - because it can be divided by 7 and 8
