    I'd say the answer is A) the fight between Beowulf and Grendel when Grendel loses his arm. Because that is the most important even in the first section of Beowulf, the most suspenseful and exciting part.

    The climax of epic English poem Beowulf occurs when Beowulf tries to kill Grendel's mother. However the sword cannot pierce her skin. They fought with bare hands and Beowulf kills her with another sword which he finds. The scene shows the great tension between good and evil.
