What does it say on the gate at Auschwitz? (From the book night)

A. "Work is liberty."

B. "Abandon all hope ye who enter here."

    A. Work is liberty.

    (I thought it said work makes you free but same concepts)

    This was used as a coverup for Jews thinking that they would be set free by working.
