Which sentence uses commas correctly?

a. A trumpet, by way, of illustration, can produce sounds even louder than an electric guitar.

b. I have never sung before a large crowd, as a matter of fact.

c. Broadly speaking jazz ensembles, have a rhythm section made up of a drummer and bass player.

d. Brass ensembles for instance, can be louder than some rock bands.

    Only b uses commas correctly.

    a - there should not be a comma after "way"

    c - there should be a comma after "speaking"

    d - there should a comma after "ensembles"

    I would have preferred: As a matter of fact, I have never sung before a large crowd.
