I need to write a story can you give me ideas for a mythical creature?

How about a chimera, which is a two headed creature with a lion's head and a goat's head, its front feet are paws and its back feet hooves, with a snake for its tail. Or perhaps a Sphinx, which has the body of a lion with a human, often female, head. Or a mermaid/merman would be interesting to do as well.
