Liberty in philosophical perspective is basically the freedom of a man to make his own choices. This idea is opposed to determinism in which all happenings are cause by something before it and that people have no control over their life. Politically, liberty is the freedom to suffrage, opinion, vote, run for position (for example) and all other rights of people, Theologically, liberty is freedom from being a sinner. With all the power to do one’s will, rights and laws must be instituted to avoid the abuse of exercising this right.
