    In writing compare and contrast essay an author must do the accompanying: 1) Identify and clarify at least three key focuses that at least two subjects have in like manner. 2) Show the likenesses and contrasts between these focuses. 3) Develop a proposition, demonstrating his or her position in regards to the two subjects.
